Substances of very high concern (SVHC) information
Substances that may have serious or irreversible effects on human health and the environment can be identified as substances of very high concern (SVHCs).
Under REACH Regulation, if a substance is identified as an SVHC, it will be added to the Candidate List for eventual inclusion in the Authorisation List. Manufacturers are required to notify their customers of the presence of any Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) in their products exceeding 0.1% by weight and provide instructions on safe use of the product.
To our best knowledge none of the substances included in the latest version of the Candidate List is present above threshold concentration in the activated carbons supplied by Chemviron.
