Omdat veel hiervan een laag kookpunt hebben, kunnen ze onder normale atmosferische omstandigheden binnenshuis qua temperatuur en druk verdampen, waardoor ze een vluchtige chemische stof worden.  <\/span><\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-color has-link-color\" style=\"color: #02538b; font-size: 23px;\"><strong>Waarom vormen vluchtige organische stoffen een probleem? <\/strong><\/h2><p>Om te beginnen gebruiken veel productieprocessen, zoals de productie van chemicali\u00ebn, farmaceutica, of coating- of printprocessen, deze organische verbindingen als oplosmiddelen of reactieve chemicali\u00ebn. In deze gevallen verdampen of vervluchtigen ze gemakkelijk in de <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chemviron.eu\/nl\/?page_id=7088\" rel=\"noopener\">afvoerluchtstromen<\/a> van productieprocessen en kunnen ze als vluchtige organische stoffen (VOS) in de afgevoerde lucht terechtkomen. <\/p><p>Bovendien komen deze VOS ook vrij bij veel afvalverwerkingsprocessen. Daarnaast kunnen dergelijke dampen binnenshuis in de lucht vrijkomen door het gebruik van producten en materialen die VOS bevatten. <\/p><p>Als gevolg hiervan vormen VOS een punt van zorg als luchtverontreinigende stoffen, zowel binnen als buiten, aangezien blootstelling eraan een negatieve invloed kan hebben op de menselijke gezondheid. In het bredere milieu kunnen ze onder bepaalde omstandigheden fotochemische smog veroorzaken. <\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-color has-link-color\" style=\"color: #02538b; font-size: 23px;\"><strong>Europese emissievoorschriften<\/strong><\/h2><p>De Europese Unie werkt voortdurend aan het terugdringen van vervuiling tot niveaus die de gezondheid beschermen door strengere regels op te stellen om vervuiling bij de bron aan te pakken. Concreet gaat het om een geplande herziening van de <a href=\"https:\/\/www.consilium.europa.eu\/en\/press\/press-releases\/2023\/11\/29\/industrial-emissions-council-and-parliament-agree-on-new-rules-to-reduce-harmful-emissions-from-industry-and-improve-public-access-to-information\/\">richtlijn industri\u00eble emissies<\/a> (IED) en de verordening betreffende de oprichting van een portaal voor industri\u00eble emissies (IEP). <\/p><p>Zo heeft de EU onlangs de nieuwe <a href=\"https:\/\/environment.ec.europa.eu\/topics\/industrial-emissions-and-safety\/industrial-and-livestock-rearing-emissions-directive-ied-20_en\">Richtlijn Industri\u00eble Emissies en Emissies van de Veehouderij 2024\/1785<\/a> (IED 2.0) gepubliceerd als het belangrijkste instrument voor het verminderen van emissies en het voorkomen van afvalproductie door grote industri\u00eble installaties en intensieve veehouderijen (varkens en pluimvee). Deze wijzigt Richtlijn 2010\/75\/EU.  <\/p><p>IED 2.0, die <a href=\"https:\/\/environment.ec.europa.eu\/news\/revised-industrial-emissions-directive-enters-force-2024-08-02_en\">op 4 augustus 2024 in werking is getreden<\/a>, beoogt de impact van vervuiling op de gezondheid van mensen en het milieu te minimaliseren. Daarnaast is het gericht op het stroomlijnen van vergunningen via de nieuwe verordening voor het portaal voor industri\u00eble emissies, wat de toegang tot milieugegevens zal verbeteren. <\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-color has-link-color\" style=\"color: #02538b; font-size: 23px;\"><strong>VOC&#8217;s en actieve kool<\/strong><\/h2><p>Als het gaat om het aanpakken van VOS-emissies, is actieve kool bijzonder effectief omdat de meeste VOS organisch zijn en daarom gemakkelijk hierop worden geadsorbeerd. Tijdens dit proces hechten deze gasvormige moleculen zich aan het kooloppervlak en concentreren ze zich daar, waarbij ze zich binden in de pori\u00ebn van de kool. <\/p><p><span class=\"cf0\">Actieve kool verwijdert effectief VOS uit de lucht en meestal kunnen we het recyclen via <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chemviron.eu\/solutions\/reactivation\/\">reactivatie<\/a> voor hergebruik.<\/span> Daarom maakt dit vermogen om actieve kool te reactiveren of te recyclen het tot een kosteneffectieve en duurzame oplossing om VOS uit de lucht te verwijderen.<\/p><p>Ter ondersteuning van deze aanpak is er een reeks EU-referentiedocumenten over <a href=\"http:\/\/eippcb.jrc.ec.europa.eu\/reference\">beste beschikbare technieken<\/a> (BREF&#8217;s) ontwikkeld om industri\u00eble processen en de beste beschikbare technieken voor het beheersen van vervuiling door industri\u00eble activiteiten te beschrijven. <span class=\"cf0\">Adsorptie op actieve kool behoort tot deze best practices.<\/span> <\/p><p>Bijvoorbeeld de \u2018\u2019<a href=\"https:\/\/eippcb.jrc.ec.europa.eu\/reference\/common-waste-water-and-waste-gas-treatmentmanagement-systems-chemical-sector-0\">Common Waste Gas Management and Treatment Systems in the Chemical Sector<\/a>\u2019\u2019 en de \u2018\u2019<a href=\"https:\/\/eippcb.jrc.ec.europa.eu\/reference\/surface-treatment-using-organic-solvents-including-wood-and-wood-products-preservation\">Surface Treatment Using Organic Solvents including Wood and Wood Products Preservation with Chemicals<\/a>\u2019\u2019 zijn twee van dergelijke uitgebreide beleidsreferentierapporten die het meest betrekking hebben op VOS-emissies van industri\u00eble processen.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-c0d1dc1 e-grid e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"c0d1dc1\" verwijderd met actieve kool? <\/strong><\/h2><p> <\/p><p>Actieve kool heeft in al zijn vormen een uitstekende adsorptiecapaciteit voor een breed scala aan VOS uit de lucht. Voor de meest effectieve verwijdering van onzuiverheden kunnen echter verschillende soorten kool nodig zijn, afhankelijk van de combinatie van verontreinigende stoffen, zoals of het een organische of anorganische onzuiverheid of verbinding is. Veel van deze verontreinigende stoffen kunnen ook effectief worden verwijderd uit andere gasstromen dan lucht, zoals stikstof of kooldioxide (CO<span style=\"font-size: 12px; line-height: 0; position: relative;
