A unique production plant

The Parentis-en-Born (France) production plant produces activated carbon from wood. Built at the heart of the largest industrial pine forest in Europe, it benefits from a perfect geographic location.

Its two manufacturing plants make it a unique site:

  • Production plant for physically (steam) activated carbon
  • Production plant for chemically (phosphoric acid) activated carbon

Landes pine transformed by Chemviron's processes imparts first-rate physico-chemical properties to activated carbon:

  • High porosity
  • Large adsorption capacity
  • Permeability
  • Purity

Acticarbone® and Anticromos®

Chemviron’s activated carbons from renewable raw materials marketed under the brand names Acticarbone® and Anticromos® are known for their exceptional capacity for adsorption and filtration.

Acticarbone® and Anticromos® activated carbon, powder or granular, manufactured from vegetable raw materials and activated using various technologies, covers a wide range of porosities for decolourization, purification and decontamination.Wood based activated carbon are particularly pure and suited to specialty applications. Thanks to the highly developed macroporosity, phosphoric acid chemically activated carbon is highly recommended for decolorization.Steam physically activated carbon is particularly effective in eliminating colour precursors and unwanted odours.

Acticarbone® and Anticromos® are used in a wide range of markets, including:

  • Food and beverage
  • Industrial processes
  • Environmental air treatment
  • Wastewater
  • Environmental water treatment
  • Municipal drinking water

All of our products meet the certifications required by various markets (ISO 9001, oenological codex, kocher and halal certificates, etc.).
