About Chemviron:
Chemviron is the European Operation of Calgon Carbon Corporation, which is a global manufacturer, supplier, and developer of activated carbons, filter aids, innovative treatment systems, value-added technologies and services for optimising production processes and safely purifying the environment.
When it comes to air and water treatment, our full-service offering allows our clients to analyse and design the right solution for their treatment objectives. We work with customers to select the right activated carbon and filter aids, which can result in longer usage and less transportation, leading to a reduction in their carbon footprint.
As our customers embrace new circular business models to meet sustainability goals, our product life cycle is an opportunity to contribute to the circular economy through reactivation. Reactivation involves treating spent carbon in a high-temperature reactivation furnace. During this treatment process, the undesirable organics on the carbon are thermally destroyed and the carbon can be reused. The benefits of reactivation include a reduction of CO2 emissions, less waste, and limits the use of the world’s resources.
